Animation company kicks off its milestone year with a new CGI series.

Studio 100 will celebrate its 20th anniversary at Brand Licensing Europe this week.

To kick-off the celebrations, the company will host a “Maya the Bee”-themed drinks and cupcakes reception on the first day of the show at 4 p.m. local time at Stand #G15.

The company will also launch the new series “Arthur and the Minimoys.” The new series is based on the children’s fantasy novels and movie trilogy of the same name and follows the adventures of 10-year-old Arthur in his newly discovered world of the Minimoys.

The CGI action series, which is co-produced by EuropaCorp Television and currently in development, is targeted toward children, ages 5-12, and is slated to hit the air in 2018 with 26 episodes. The company is also exploring partnerships across all key categories.

Meanwhile, “Maya the Bee” is gearing up for season two as well as the second Maya the Bee movie. Season two will feature all new stories, characters and landscapes and is slated to air in 2017.

The Maya the Bee film is currently in pre-production and is expected to be released worldwide in 2018.

“We’re delighted to be celebrating our 20th birthday, we proud to produce content which is engaging, entertaining and educational for today’s children and their parents,” says Christophe Drevet, consumer products director, international, Studio 100. We have many exciting plans for the company over the coming years, including the launch of the new CGI series ‘Arthur and the Minimoys.’ With the continued success with ‘Maya,’ we’re sure the new series will be an instant hit with both children and their parents.”
