The Jim Henson Company’s animated series “Dinosaur Train” is picking up momentum in Europe with new consumer products and distribution deals.

New consumer products plans include:

  • In the U.K., Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products has brokered an agreement with Character World for Dinosaur Train home décor.

  • In Germany, the brand’s licensing agent LizenzWerft negotiated deals with Panini for publishing and WVG Medien for apps.

  • In Spain, licensing agent Selecta Vision has added Montichelvo for stationery, Hot Shots Europe for candy toys and cookies and Accion Cultural for live shows and mall events.

These new partners join an already extensive roster of licensees across Western and Eastern Europe that includes master toy licensee Tomy.

“Europe continues to be a brisk and enthusiastic market for the Dinosaur Train brand, as more broadcasters, content distributors and consumer licensing partners get on board,” says Richard Goldsmith, executive vice president, global distribution, The Jim Henson Company. “By leveraging our young audience’s innate attraction to all things dinosaur and any vehicle that travels down a track, Buddy and his friends make exploring the natural world fun and exciting.”

The brand also added a series of new TV partners including a home entertainment deal with Italy’s Dall’Angelo for season three and with France’s Studio Canal for digital and home video rights for season two of the series.
