Nintendo Pairs 'Mario,' 'Rabbids'

The Ubisoft property will be highlighted alongside Nintendo’s classic character in a new game exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo and Ubisoft have joined forces to feature characters from the “Mario” franchise as well as the “Rabbids” franchise in a new video game, titled “Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.”

During the game, players will see Mario and the Rabbids join forces to restor the Mushroom Kingdom, which has been torn apart by a mysterious vortex. From there, players will form a team of three characters to complete various levels as well as participate in additional co-op challenges.

“Over the years, we’ve forged a great relationships with Ubisoft, and ‘Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle’ represents the next step in that strong collaboration,” says Reggie Fils-Aime, president and chief operating officer, Nintendo of America. “The teaming of our intellectual properties is symbolic of this partnership, and we can’t wait for players to get their hands on the game.”

“Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle” will be available exclusively for Nintendo Switch on Aug. 29.
