Dr. Seuss Enterprises has launched its first-ever augmented reality experience for a Dr. Seuss title,“Dr. Seuss’s ABC – An Amazing AR Alphabet! App.”
The digital learning-focused app is the first part in a series of digital educational experiences and is produced by Sugar Creative in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises. It was also created with support from Unity’s MARS extension, which powers the augmented reality technology within the app. Based on the bestselling book Dr. Seuss’s ABC, the app lets kids interact and learn the alphabet along with Seuss characters.
The app allows kids to play with animated characters such as Aunt Annie’s Alligator, David Donald Doo, Fiffer-Feffer-Feff, Little Lola Lopp, Vera Violet Vinn, Young Yolanda Yorganson, Zizzer-Zazzer-Zuzz, and more – and even create their own AR story world.
“‘Dr. Seuss’s ABC – An Amazing AR Alphabet! App’” is an exciting way to ignite young imaginations through interactive play with the creative stories and beloved characters both kids and parents love,” says Susan Brandt, president, Dr. Seuss Enterprises. “We are thrilled to launch the app just in time to commemorate the annual Dr. Seuss’s Birthday holiday.”
“Dr. Seuss’s ABC—An Amazing AR Alphabet! App” is now available on the Apple App store and Google Play for phones and tablets and is also a tribute to Dr. Seuss’ Birthday, which kicked off March 2 with the celebration continuing through the week.
