DHX Media has announced plans to launch a children’s subscription-based streaming video-on-demand (SVOD) service called Kids Room.

The service will launch on Comcast’s Xfinity X1 and leverage DHX’s collection of children’s video content. It will include hundreds of streamable episodes of series such as “Bob the Builder,” “Fireman Sam,” “Teletubbies,” “Polly Pocket,” “Chuck’s Choice,” “Endangered Species,” “Storm Hawks,” “Sabrina: The Animated Series” and “Angela Anaconda.”

“As one of the world’s leading producers and owners of children’s content, we see Kids Room as a natural touchpoint to entertain kids with great programming in the expanding landscape of streaming opportunities,” says Joe Tedesco, executive vice president and general manager, DHX Television. “We’ve selected some really fun shows for the service from our deep content library, and we’re confident children are going to love Kids Room.”
