IMG, World Rugby’s master licensee, brokered the deal.
Under the terms of the two-year agreement, Canterbury will develop co-branded sports apparel collections for various World Rugby competitions including Rugby World Cup 2019 and the World Rugby U20 Championship; and will style apparel for the as 15s and Sevens match officials as well as World Rugby technical official apparel.
The first line of merchandise will be released in Japan in September. A wide launch is set for the end of the year.
