IDW Publishing is bringing of the most popular “Star Trek: The Original Series” episodes of all time, “City on the Edge of Forever,” into a new comic series, under license by CBS Consumer Products.

The new mini-series will be based on writer Harlan Ellison’s original teleplay, which is vastly different from the episode that aired, causing much curiosity among fans. The teleplay itself won both the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation as well as the Writer’s Guild of America’s Award for Most Outstanding Teleplay.

Star Trek: Harlan Ellison’s City on the Edge of Forever: The Original Teleplay will debut in June.
