Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment International have merged to create Sony Interactive Entertainment.

SIE will join the forces of all business units belonging to SCE and SNEI including hardware, software, content and network services operations for PlayStation.

The goal of the merger to maximize efficiencies in order to accelerate growth of the company's PlayStation business.
