Beanstalk has brought on three new partners for power tool and home brand Black + Decker.

The new licensees include:

  • Chapin will develop a four-gallon cordless backpack garden/construction sprayer that will be available at home improvement centers, select mass merchandisers, farm and tractor stores, wholesale clubs, paint stores, pest control stores, lawn and garden stores and via direct-mail catalogs in early 2015.

  • AdTech is planning a line of Black + Decker-branded corded and cordless glue guns and replacement glue sticks. The line will launch at mass, mid-tier, specialty, craft and online retailers in fall 2015.

  • Homestar has developed wood-based, multi-purpose storage units bearing the Black + Decker brand. The storage units are currently available at select retailers in the U.S. and Canada, and will launch at additional mass, mid-tier and specialty retailers, as well as warehouse clubs, home improvement centers, office supply stores and e-commerce retailers beginning in early 2015.

Two of the partners, Chapin and AdTech, will develop products that incorporate Black + Decker's 20-volt lithium ion battery platform, marking the first time that Black + Decker's battery technology will be included in licensed products.

“Black + Decker has been a leader in power tools, outdoor equipment and other home improvement products for the past century–a truly iconic brand," says Allison Ames, president, Beanstalk. "So you can imagine how important it is to have partners that deliver on the brand’s leadership position in the industry. Chapin, AdTech and Homestar are all industry leaders in their own right and will bring the same level of innovation that consumers have come to expect from Black + Decker for the past 100 years.”
