The New York Times Company has named Dorothea Herrey as senior vice president for of its event business, NYT Live. 

In her new role, Herrey will be responsible for the commercial aspects of all NY Times conferences, TimesTalks and other live events, including production, marketing, digital representation and revenue generation from sponsorship sales and delegate participation. She will work closely on programming with Charles Duhigg, who last week was named senior editor and the newsroom leader for live events, to expand the Times’s existing global conferences and live programs.

Herrey joins NYT Live from Dow Jones & Company where, since 2008, she was the head of The Wall Street Journal’s conference business. Prior to joining Dow Jones, Herrey spent several years at Rodale, where she focused on new product development, business development and strategic planning.
