Walmart has teamed with Warner Bros. to give its customers the chance to see an advance screening of Man of Steel.

In a first-of-its-kind partnership, Walmart has teamed with Warner Bros. to give its customers the chance to see the feature film Man of Steel the day before its nationwide release June 14.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on May 18, tickets will go on sale at more 3,700 Walmart stores across the U.S. for an exclusive June 13 screening of the Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures flick.

Walmart customers will be able to purchase up to four tickets per visit for a 7 p.m. screening that will be held at local theaters nationwide.

In addition to the advance screening Walmart is also offering a range of merchandise exclusives and retail events.

"We couldn't be more excited to give our customers and associates early access to one of the summer's most anticipated movies," says Laura Phillips, senior vice president of entertainment, Walmart U.S. "Walmart's premiere of Man of Steel once again proves we have the ambition and studio partnerships to develop unique retail programs that give our customers access to the movies they love."

Fans who purchase ticket’s to Walmart’s Man of Steel screening will also get priority to pre-order the Blu-ray combo pack or HD digital download of the film and have access to a free original digital comic book written by the film’s screenwriter David Goyer.

Walmart has also released an official "Man of Steel Experience" augmented reality app that will let fans take photos with Superman and unlock special photo frames by pointing their phone at Man of Steel signage in-store.

Beginning April 28, the retailer will also release a full lineup of Man of Steel merchandise including t-shirts, electronics, posters and more.
