License Connection will work to develop a strong licensing program for the series.

ITV Studios has signed on License Connection to represent its animated series “Thunderbirds Are Go” in the Benelux region.

License Connection has already secured a number of licensees for the brand including Vivid for a master toy line that will launch this back-to-school season, Just Ent. for a “Thunderbirds Are Go” DVD, Meis & Maas for books and magazines that will launch at the end of this year and Jacob Company for a bag range.

The agency is also in discussions with various licensees to secure new partners for the Benelux market.

“The first reactions from retail are positive, as well as from press and public, even on social media, there is much interest in the franchise,” says Daphne Kellerman, managing director, License Connection. “We have worked hard on a strong introduction of this iconic brand and expect to bring more exciting news during the coming months.”

Produced by ITV Studios, in partnership with Pukeko Pictures and Weta Workshop, “Thunderbirds Are Go” is a re-invention of the original “Thunderbirds” and will follow the five Tracy brothers as they pilot their Thunderbirds vehicles across various environments and locations to perform rescues across the globe.
