Sony Picks up ‘Sydney Sailboat’

Sony Pictures Television has acquired the preschool animated series “Sydney Sailboat” for its Tiny Pop TV channel from Australia-based Essential Media and Entertainment.

The deal, brokered by Raydar Media, covers all rights in multiple territories including the U.K., Ireland, South Africa and 50 other pan-African territories.

“Sydney Sailboat” was formerly known as “Bubble Bath Bay” and was rebranded for the international market last year. The series is currently screening on Sprout in the U.S. and will return to Australia’s ABC Kids April 4.
