TF1 has renewed Tele Images’ animated series “The Ranch” for a second season, and, in conjunction, a comprehensive licensing program is being built for the brand Europe.

In France, the licensing rights are managed by TF1 Licences in partnership with Tele Images. Lansay has developed a range of toys based on the characters of the series including figurines, horses, riders and accessories, already available at toy retailers and launching soon in supermarkets.

Other licensees in the country include Tennessee for back-to-school and stationery, Lutece for home decoration and Quick for restaurant promotions.

Additionally, Hachette has already sold 200,000 novels based on the series and plans to release new titles including activity books, while Jungle will publish the second title of the show’s comic book series in October.

In Germany, where the series is broadcast on ARD and KI.KA, licensing is managed by CPLG-Germany. The latest licensing deals cover publishing (novels and activity books) from Egmont, a dedicated magazine from Blue Ocean, DVDs from JustBridge, audio storytelling from Edel and apparel from AA Brands.

In Italy, Spain and Eastern Europe, Planeta Junior has just been appointed as licensing agent for the brand.

The new season will be produced by Tele Images (a Zodiak Kids company), with delivery planned for the second quarter of 2015.
