NORTH AMERICA–Marvel Studios will once again encourage young girls to explore the “superpower of STEM” with “Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok Superpower of STEM Challenge.”

Supported by American Association for the Advancement of Science, Broadcom Masters and the Society for Science & the Public, the new program will invite girls, ages 15-18, to use the power of STEM to create an original DIY project that can be replicated by others. Five finalists will then be selected to present their projects to a panel of experts as well as attend the red carpet premiere of Thor: Ragnarok.

In addition, one grand-prize winner will be selected to attend a three-day mentorship event with Disney Imagineering to create a professional video to teach others how to re-create her challenge-winning project. The winner will also make a brief appearance on Good Morning America to demonstrate her project.

Entries for “Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok Superpower of STEM Challenge” will be accepted through Sept. 23.

Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled to launch in theaters on Nov. 3.
