'GoT' Exhibition to Kick Off in Barcelona

EUROPE–HBO Global Licensing and GES have revealed that “Game of Thrones: The Touring Exhibition” will make its worldwide debut at Museu Marítim in Barcelona, Spain this October.

'GoT' Exhibition to Kick Off in Barcelona

The upcoming exhibition will showcase a variety of themed areas from the show including the North, Kingsroad, Meereen, the Iron Throne Room and more.

The upcoming 10,000-square-foot experience will allow fans to get up-close and personal with images, authentic props, costumes and set decorations from the popular series.

In addition to props and costumes, consumers will be able to experience the trials and tribulations of the series’ characters through a mix of immersive environments, interactives and multimedia content including: the wintry landscapes of the North, the tree-lined pathway of the Kingsroad, the conquered city of Meereen, the House of Black and White, the home of the Night’s Watch, the Iron Throne Room and more.

“From the steps of Dragonstone to the Great Pit of Daznak, the country and people of Spain have played host to some of the most iconic settings in ‘Game of Thrones,’” says Jeff Peters, vice president, licensing and retail, HBO. “It adds to

the excitement that our first location for this exhibition is also in a country where we recently launched a new streaming service, HBO España. We’re confident that our fans in Barcelona, throughout Spain and across Europe are going to love this new opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of ‘Game of Thrones.’”

“Game of Thrones: The Touring Exhibition” will open in Barcelona on Oct. 28 and will be open Tuesday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
