Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, has tapped Toy State to create remote-controlled toys based on its DC Super Friends brand.

The global deal will see the development of a range of remote-controlled vehicles featuring DC Comics characters. Targeted at children ages 3 to 7, the The DC Super Friends brand features top DC Comics Super Heroes such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, with stories that reinforce the positive messages of friendship and teamwork.

The new R/C line will be distributed under Toy State's Nikko brand and will hit retail in mid-2016.

"Toy State is the perfect partner for DC Super Friends," says Paul Bufton, vice president, licensing and business development, WBCP EMEA. "Just as they are big fans of our brand, we have long been fans of Toy State and the innovative range of products they develop each year. DC Comics has a rich history with a deep character portfolio, and we can't wait to watch Toy State create vehicles that bring our characters to life in new and exciting ways."
