Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends are heading to Nintendo systems this fall with three new games, including the character's first-ever foray onto the Wii U platform.

The new games will be published by Bergsala Lightweight with support from Rising Star Games.

The games are set to launch later this year in markets that use the PAL format across the Middle East, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and Asia.

“Hello Kitty recently celebrated 40 years of inspiring happiness, friendship and sharing across the world, so there’s never been a better time to bring three new Hello Kitty experiences to Nintendo systems,” says Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. “Never before have Sanrio fans had so much choice from their gaming, and Hello Kitty’s Wii U debut is sure to bring smiles to thousands of faces across Europe.”

The new games include:

  • "Hello Kitty and the Apron of Magic: Rhythm Cooking" (Nintendo 3DS systems)–A cookery caper full with mini-games that let fans learn the joys of cooking and the power of rhythm as players come up with tasty treats in time to music.

  • "Hello Kitty & Friends: Rockin’ World Tour" (Nintendo 3DS)–A rhythm action game that lets players head to the stage and travel the world. Fans will discover rhythm gameplay, play mini-games and be rewarded with collectibles.

  • "Hello Kitty Kruisers" (Wii U)–Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends race on land, over water and through the air in this multi-player game that also lets fans unlock new outfits and vehicles.
