Ecological attraction appoints licensing agent, signs first three product partners.

The British ecological visitor attraction The Eden Project has partnered with IPR Licensing to launch and develop its licensing program.

The complex, which is located in Cornwall, England, features a series of biodomes that showcase plants from around the world.

“This is an exciting moment for Eden as we look to extend our good name through a range of very fitting products," says Tracey Smith, commercial manager, Eden. "With their experience and impressive reach, IPR are the perfect partners in this new venture.”

Together IPR and The Eden Project plan to create a full range of licensed products that bring the attraction's message to a wider audience.

“It is great to be working with such a well-known and dynamic brand as Eden," says Sarah Dixon, joint managing director, IPR Licensing. "The initial focus is on licensed food, home and garden products, with some core licenses already signed and more under discussion.”

Three licensing partners have already signed on to create branded products for the complex.

A Heaven Scent range of candles, reed diffusers and room sprays featuring 12 fragrances inspired by Eden’s Rainforest, Mediterranean Biomes and outdoor gardens, will launch this September at Autumn Fair.

Eden has also collaborated with Franchi Seeds, which provides seed for the herbs and vegetables featured in its Mediterranean Terrace restaurant, has created a branded seed range. The line features 32 varieties and debuted this spring at Wyevale and RHS.

Finally, Somerset Cuisine has developed a line of Eden handcrafted jams. The jars come with collectible lids, peel-off stories and recipes and are available now at the Eden retail store. The jams will launch at other retailers in 2016.
