Chef Emeril Lagasse and Jack Schwartz Shoes have joined forces to produce a new shoe line specially developed for restaurant industry professionals.

The new range includes antimicrobial and water repellent technologies, as well as a memory foam insole and an Emeril-inspired slip resistant outsole. Beyond its functional features, the shoes are also designed to meet the evolving tastes of culinary professionals.

“As someone who’s worked in the kitchen for more than 20 years, I know how difficult it is to find a comfortable shoe that can handle the wear and tear of being on your feet all day,” says Lagasse. “I wanted to create a reasonably priced, better looking and higher quality line of shoes that are comfortable and attractive. By partnering with JSSI, we were able to design a line of shoes that will keep your feet happy all day, in and out of the kitchen.”

The Emeril Lagasse slip and stain-resistant footwear will be available at Show Carnival beginning Nov. 1.

“We are excited to be entering the growing restaurant shoe market with such a recognizable and well-respected partner in Emeril Lagasse,” says David Schwartz, president, JSSI. “The restaurant shoe industry has long been known for its limited offerings and unimaginative design. We’ve worked closely with Emeril, an expert on the rigors of restaurant work from the kitchen to the host stand, to create a range of shoes that offer comfort, durability and style.
