Makeup by Mario, Sephora Boost Beauty Game with Brush Collab

Sephora has collaborated with Kim Kardashian-West’s makeup artist for his last venture of 2019.

Sephora has ventured out for another collaboration and tapped celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, otherwise known as @MakeupbyMario, for a new partnership.

The deal sees the creation of a 13-piece brush set inspired by some of Dedivanovic’s favorite brushes through the years. Each brush will also come with a handle that is reminiscent of a sconce in his living room.

Like Sephora, Dedivanovic is no stranger to collaborations. Most notably, he’s created makeup palettes with Anastasia Beverly Hills and KKW Beauty, his famous client Kim Kardashian West’s makeup line.

"I actually didn't want to do any collabs for 2019,” Dedicanovic told

“I wanted to take a break because my next chapter in 2020 is going to be big for me. But then 2019 came around and I got incredible offers from massive brands to do massive collabs and I just said, ‘no, no, no.’ When this came along—sometimes it takes me months to answer—but I said, ‘yes’ instantly without even knowing what it was. I am indebted

to Sephora forever because it’s the place that I discovered my purpose in life at that time. I wouldn't be here today had I not discovered Sephora."

Mario’s start in makeup was as a Sephora employee nearly 20 years ago.

"It was there that I discovered my talent and something I could work toward—a dream. I never had a dream before that," says Dedicanovic.

The Makeup by Mario x Sephora brush collection will be available Dec. 26 at Sephora stores and Sephora.com.
