Beyblade fans across Canada will have the chance to battle face-to-face in a series of live tournaments taking place at all Toys ‘R’ Us locations across the country Oct. 6.

Toys ‘R’ Us is teaming with Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana Enterprises, creator of the “Beyblade” TV series (with partner d-rights) and Hasbro, make of the Beyblade battling game (with partner Tomy), for the event.

Thirty-two participants will face-off at each Toys ‘R’ Us location, and the winners will be entered to win a series of prizes.

Beyblade is a modern battling tops system inspired by traditional Japanese battling tops called "bei-goma." The newest chapter of the “Beyblade” TV series, called “Beywheelz,” began airing in Canada Saturday.
