Turner Cartoon Network Enterprises has been granted the licensing and merchandising rights to new series "Puppy in My Pocket," a co-production of Mondo TV, MEG and Giochi Preziosi.

"Puppy in My Pocket," geared to girls ages 4 to 7, will debut in more than 130 countries throughout EMEA beginning in 2011. The property will be supported with a full licensing program from TCNE for 2012, which will serve as agent in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (excluding Italy, Spain and Greece).

"The acquisition of Puppy in My Pocket is a significant development in our strategy to grow our business into new markets and we are looking forward to working with great partners such as Mondo TV, MEG and Giochi Preziosi," says Alan Fenwick, vice president of Turner CN Enterprises. "We'll be using Brand Licensing Europe to showcase our developing role as a third-party agent and to communicate how we will be using our boys' expertise to develop girls' properties, preschool and lifestyle brands."
