Partners include Bandai America and K’NEX for toys, which will hit Toys ‘R’ Us this Spring. Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release “Roary The Racing Car” DVDs in June.  In addition, new never-before-seen in the U.S. television episodes will air on Sprout in April 2011.

Since its U.K. launch in 2007, Roary the Racing Car has secured over 100 international licensees and has been sold to 150 countries.

“Ever since Roary was first broadcast on Sprout, viewers in the U.S. instantly took to the adorable racing car and his friends at Silver Hatch racetrack,” says Stacey Reiner, vice president of U.S. Licensing at HIT Global Brands. “There has been a steady demand for toys and DVDs, and we are thrilled to work with Toys ‘R’ Us to offer Roary products exclusively at its stores across the country. Chapman Entertainment has created a smart and extremely likeable set of characters and stories with Roary the Racing Car, and it has translated well to toys and consumer products.”
