DQE has signed an exclusive licensing deal with publisher Hachette Livre for "The Jungle Book" for French-language worldwide.

In the deal, Hachette has the right to publish "The Jungle Book" in six segments to include storybooks, activity books, novelty books, workbooks, chapter books and ebooks. The distribution channels for this deal include book retailers, comic book stores, department stores, mail order catalogs, mass market, trade and wholesale outlets.

DQE is an animation, gaming, live-action entertainment production and distribution company based in India.

"Our collaboration with Hachette for the publishing of this classic property in French is testimony to the fact that the Jungle Book brand has fabulous recognition worldwide," says Tapaas Chakravarti, chairman and chief executive officer of DQE.
