FremantleMedia Enterprises, the commercial and brand extension arm of FremantleMedia, has appointed Maximilian Bolenius as vice president of sales for German-speaking Europe and Eastern Europe.

Bolenius, who will be based in Germany, will report into London-based EMEA chief executive officer Mel Alcock and will start at the end of March. In his new role, Bolenius will be charged with maximizing all business potential across the distribution of television programming and format sales from the FME portfolio.

Prior to his new role, Bolenius was director of sales at ZDF Enterprises in Germany. During his time at ZDFE, he assessed all kids' programming for international distribution and supervised the production and marketing of ZDFE's kids' multi-platform products. Bolenius also established all-time sales records within the English- and Spanish-speaking territories, as well as the Scandinavian market. Bolenius replaces Veronika Gracher, who recently left FME after nearly five years to pursue endeavors outside of the industry.
