In anticipation of the upcoming feature film Megamind, DreamWorks Animation has appointed THQ to develop a movie-themed video game for major gaming platforms.

The video game will roll out in November, timed to the release of Megamind on Nov. 5. THQ is developing versions of the game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii and Nintendo DS.  The games will feature the voice of actor Jonah Hill.

"We have an incredible relationship with DreamWorks Animation and worked closely with them on the development of the video games to explore fun and creative ways to approach the storyline and evolve the characters in Megamind," says Martin Good, executive vice president of kids, family, casual games and online global services for THQ. "These new games will extend the movie experience for fans by presenting gamers of all ages with high-energy, multi-faceted gameplay that immerses them into the humorous world of this new superhero property."
