Douglas Company will debut its latest licensed plush toy, Tatty Teddy, the gray teddy bear with a blue nose from the U.K., at U.S. toy and gift shows in 2012. Tatty Teddy is the character behind the Me to You brand, which was created by Carte Blanche Greetings in 1995.

The initial line will include friendship, get well and encouragement collections, which will include  a variety of plush from 6-12 inches. There are seven bears in each of the initial collections, with 23 new styles in all.

The plush will be sold at specialty gift and toy stores in the U.S. and Canada, with products on store shelves in early 2012.

“Tatty Teddy is a unique teddy bear who delivers messages of love and friendship with just the right amount of feeling,” says Weston Parker, marketing director for Douglas Company. “The value of social expression is in high demand and the Tatty Teddy line will help fill that niche for Douglas.”
