Skechers has partnered with Authentic Brands Group, owner of the Shaquille O’Neal brand, to launch a collection of children’s athletic footwear inspired by the retired NBA star.

The line is specifically made for the basketball court and will come in three core colors. Skechers’ mid-height sneakers feature a lace-up closure, with one of the styles offering a wide single strap for an adjustable fit. Every style includes the Shaq by Skechers iconography and a dunking Shaq logo.

“I think kids are going to love the way the new styles look, and they’ll love playing in them even more,” says O’Neal. “These boys and girls might not be dunking yet, but I can’t wait to see them posting up in their new Shaq by Skechers footwear!”

The Shaq by Skechers basketball footwear collection is available now in the United States at Skechers retail stores, Sketchers website and select retail partners. The collection will also land in Canada, Europe, Latin America and Israel later this year.

This marks another foray into the fashion space for O’Neal. The former Lakers center inked a deal with JCPenney’s last year that saw him develop a big and tall line for the retailer.
