Sequential Brands Group is marking the 65th anniversary of the Ellen Tracy brand with expanded distribution in a number of key apparel categories and a global marketing campaign.

The fashion brand has teamed with Yahoo and brand ambassador Paula Patton to develop an original video documentary, Women-Hyphenated, that explores and celebrates the lives of women in the modern world. The Ellen Tracy spring print campaign will also feature Patton.

The video highlights three "hyphenated" women from diverse backgrounds including Nickelodeon Networks Group president Cyma Zarghami; best-selling author, writer and radio commentator Sandra Tsing Loh; and registered nurse, midwife and owner of Art of Nursing Care, Amy Tinney. The video is available now at Yahoo Screen.

Coinciding with the marketing campaign, new, elevated lines of sportswear, coats and dresses will be launched at better department stores and online. Among the licensees for the brand are Global Brands Group, G-III and Komar.

"Since its inception, Ellen Tracy has been the brand of choice for women's workwear," says Rick Platt, group president, Sequential Brands Group. "We are proud that Ellen Tracy product can be found at leading retailers including Lord and Taylor, Nordstrom, Macy's and House of Fraser, with more to come in the future."
