Hudson’s Bay Company has unveiled its Team Canada collection that athletes will wear for the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

As the official outfitter of Team Canada, Hudson’s Bay will provide each Olympic and Paralympic Team with items such as color-blocked tees, word marked hoodies, track jackets, hats, scarves and more as part of the Rio 2016 uniform. The retailer will also provide closing ceremony and podium looks, as well as village wear.

Additionally, Canadian fashion designers Dean and Dan Caten have been enlisted to design Team Canada’s opening ceremony uniform. The look, which includes a jacket, shirt and pants, will be a formal take on an athletic look.

“As a premier partner of the Canadian Olympic Committee and the Canadian Paralympic Committee, Hudson’s Bay is deeply committed to supporting our athletes and bringing the passionate spirit of the Games to Canadians through our clothing,” says Liz Rodbell, president, Hudson’s Bay. “Wearing Canada’s colors unites us all and we are looking forward to cheering on Team Canada as they go for gold in Rio.”

More than 315 athletes competing for the Canadian Olympic Team and roughly 170 athletes competing for the Canadian Paralympic Team at the Rio 2016 Games.

The official Team Canada replica wear will be available at all Hudson’s Bay locations across Canada beginning May 4, with select pieces available online at TheBay.com now.
