Following the success of the first Frida Kahlo licensed product launch earlier this year, House of Disaster is introducing a second range.

House of Disaster will debut Frida Kahlo products in early 2020 along with other Frida Kahlo licensing partnerships.

“We love the design graphics of House of Disaster,” says Maria Strid, owner, Art Ask Agency. “The freedom to get creative and propose distinctive graphics for licensed products is one of the many plus points of the Frida Kahlo license.”

Art Ask Agency licenses Frida Kahlo’s likeness through the Frida Kahlo Corporation, along with other likenesses of culture brands, designers, illustrators, character lines and photographers.

Frida Kahlo Corporation was created in 2005, and Frida Kahlo’s heirs transferred all of her rights and entire interest in the intellectual property to the Frida Kahlo Corporation, resulting in the marketing of trademarks, brands, images, photography, signature and other intellectual property of Frida Kahlo.

The Frida Kahlo Corporation licenses the Frida Kahlo brand and contributes a portion of the proceeds received to community-based charitable organizations that are committed to improving the life of women and children.

In addition to licensees, House of Disaster is known for creating its own collections. Besides Frida Kahlo, it alsos work with other licensed collections for The Beatles, Moomin Characters and Jan Constantine.

“We have been so pleased with the initial reaction to our Frida Kahlo licensed collection released for S/S 2019, we have worked on adding new pieces and categories for the second half of 2019,” says Neil Gauckwin, general manager, House of Disaster. “We have a great new water bottle plus socks, scarves and a lightbox as well as more core accessories.”
