Fox Taps Activision for Percy Jackson Video Game

In anticipation of Twentieth Century Fox's Feb. 12 release of Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightening Thief, Activision has signed on to develop a Nintendo DS game.

"The 'Percy Jackson' book series has been on the New York Times Best Seller list for more than 125 weeks and the Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief film adaptation is one of the most buzzed about movies for 2010," says David Oxford, general manager at Activision Publishing. "We're honored to work on such a hot property, building on the elements that fans love, to create a fantastic video game that can be played on the go."

The Fox film is based on the children's fantasy novel series by Rick Riordan from Disney-Hyperion Books.
