Upper Deck Tapped for "Huntik" Toy Line

The new toy collection features 6" and 9" figures based on characters from the series and will debut at the Hong Kong, London and Nuremberg Toy Fairs. Upper Deck International recently announced that it is expanding its trading card business into the toy and game segments.

"We are very excited to extend out partnership with Upper Deck to the master toy category," says Marie-Laure Marchand, managing director of Big Bocca Productions. "This will definitely strengthen our position on the market globally and will maximize our presence at retail."

A new Web site for the series—Huntik.com—was recently launched, featuring exclusive content and behind-the-scenes information.

"Huntik: Secrets & Seekers" is expected to be launched in North America on the CW4Kids network on Jan. 3, 2009, and later followed by premieres in Italy on Rai2, Germany on RTL2, Finland on MTV3, Greece on Alter TV, Israel on Noga, South Africa on MNET and Australia on Network 10.

Huntik is a co-production between Rainbow and m4e. It was a joint winner of License Global's Licensing Challenge at Mipcom in Cannes in October.
