Think Wow Toys, a division of WowWee Toys U.S.A., has signed as master toy licensee for Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF, covering figures, play sets, vehicles, role play and trading cards.

Think Wow Toys plans a television-supported, grassroots marketing effort that will include regional thumb wrestling competitions to be held spring 2010.

Since its November launch on Cartoon Network U.S., "Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF" has signed licenses with Berkshire Fashions (accessories), Mad Engine (tees, fleece, fashion tops and hoodies), Mad Dog Concepts (boxers and socks) and Dream Apparel (sleepwear).

In the U.K., "TWF" airs on BBC.

"Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF" was created by kid's TV creator Larry Schwarz and is produced by his New York-based independent studio, Animation Collective.

"The response from kids to the series, evidenced by the strong ratings, has stimulated a great deal of interest from manufacturers looking for the next, great, break-out license," says Al Ovadia of Al Ovadia & Associates, worldwide licensing agent. "In addition to those already signed, deals in publishing, posters, school supplies, backpacks, bedding and games are in discussion and expected to close in the coming weeks."
