Disney to Launch Club Penguin Toy Line

A new Disney Web-interactive toy line based on children's virtual world Club Penguin, featuring collectible plush, mini-figures and play sets, is now available.

Jakks Pacific has created a Club Penguin 6.5" plush assortment ($9.99 each), Club Penguin Puffle Plush line ($5.99 each), Club Penguin 2" Mix N Match figures ($5.99 each) and the Club Penguin Igloo playset ($29.99). A video game—Club Penguin: Elite Force—for Nintendo DS ($29.99) also is scheduled for a holiday release.

The toys are now available at Toys "R" Us, Club Penguin's online shop, Disney stores, theme parks and online. Each has a code with which children can redeem virtual items on ClubPenguin.com.

Celebrating its third anniversary, Club Penguin virtual world is a place where kids can play games and interact with others through animated penguin avatars. To mark the event, Club Penguin hosted a party on Oct. 28 at the Times Square Toys "R" Us in New York City .
