Preschool TV show "3rd & Bird" will see a line of wooden and wheeled toys on U.K. store shelves in 2010.

BBC Worldwide signed agreements with DanJam for wooden stacking toys, pull-along vehicles, play sets and musical instruments and MV Sports for trikes, scooters and ride-ons.

In December, Fisher-Price was named master toy licensee (excluding Asia) for "3rd & Bird." The toy maker's line of preschool, infant and toddler toys, including electronic and non-electronic plastic figurines, toys, vehicles, play sets and plush, is expected to premiere in spring/summer 2010 in the U.K, followed by the U.S.

Other planned U.K. product launches for "3rd & Bird" include a first season DVD (£12.99, $18.50) for March 30; audio books, storybooks, novelty and sound books from BBC Children's Books and BBC Audiobooks for spring 2010; socks from Roy Lowe and Sons; wellies, slippers and trainers from William Lamb; curtains, beanbags, beanchairs, cushions, towels, ponchos, sleeping bags, fleece blankets and rugs from Character World for autumn 2010; toiletries, textiles, bath toys and accessories from H&A for spring/autumn 2010; homewares and lighting from Spearmark for spring/autumn 2010; puzzles and card games from Ravensburger for early 2010; and greeting cards and calendars from Danilo for spring/summer 2010.

In other BBCWW news, In the Night Garden and Doctor Who were announced as the company's top two performing brands of 2008.

According to recently released NPD data, BBCWW's two flagship brands were named in the top 10 performing toy licenses of the year. In the Night Garden co-produced by Ragdoll Productions, generated £33.1 million ($46.8 million) in licensed toy sales, beating out other properties, such as Thomas the Tank Engine, Ben 10 and High School Musical. Doctor Who closed 2008 with £17.7 million ($25 million) in licensed toy sales, where NPD reported that its 5" figures were the fourth best-sellers in the action figure market and 11th in the overall toy and game market.

BBC Worldwide (Booth #2811) is an exhibitor at this year’s Licensing International Expo to be held June 2-4 in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Resort.
