“Igor” Gets ICEE, Contest

Exodus Film Group added ICEE and Sylvan Learning to an already extensive list of partners to the soon-to-be-released animated feature, “Igor.”

The Sept. 19 U.S. debut will be ushered in by an “Igor”-flavored ICEE along with a sweepstakes, and the “Can You Help Igor Get to the Science Fair” reading contest, developed by Sylvan Learning. Space Camp will provide the prizes for both the sweepstakes and the contest.

The film, which is being distributed by MGM Pictures, has also tacked on comic books, video games, online and restaurant chain deals.

The voices of John Cusack, Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon will be featured in “Igor,” which refreshes the classic about an evil scientist’s hunchbacked assistant who dreams of one day winning the annual Evil Science Fair.
