Amazon’s CreateSpace Gets MTV, Nick and More

MTV Networks will soon have its television shows and specials sold exclusively to start on Amazon.com.

Through CreateSpace, a DVD on-demand technology, MTV Networks plans to release popular MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and VH1 shows onto DVDs for purchase.

Some of the shows to be released for the first time on DVD are “Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County,” “Drake & Josh,” “Doug,” “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” and “Comedy Central Presents.”

Amazon.com purchased CreateSpace in 2005.
