Walmart recently hired a third-party company to handle in-store product demonstrations at its Sam's Club chain, cutting nearly 11,200 jobs. Sam's Club is the second-largest warehouse club in the U.S.

According to published reports, marketing firm Shopper Events will take over the demonstration work of approximately 10,000 employees. The remaining 1,200 jobs, which focus on membership recruiting, are being eliminated.
