Megaton, an all-new video gaming lifestyle magazine for kids ages 8 to 12 years has launched and features Cartoon Network content.

Issues will be available every four weeks for £2.99 ($4.61) and will feature 18-pages of Cartoon Network content, including 16 pages of exclusive comic strips from brands such as The Secret Saturdays, Samurai Jack and Codename: Kids Next Door. The 100-page magazine, which will have a strong gaming focus, will also include a selection of environmentally friendly free gifts. A Tatsunoko vs Capcom sticker sheet, a double-sided LEGO Indiana Jones 2/Bakugan Brawlers poster and a Secret Saturdays card model have been confirmed as free gifts for the launch issue.

Megaton magazine is supported by a Web site. Readers can go online to find games, videos, reviews, competitions and more at www.megaton.co.uk.

"Megaton is the only magazine in the children's market that offers 100 pages of pure gaming and comic strip content," says Matt Yeo, SkyJack Publishing's managing director. "The addition of officially licensed Cartoon Network comic strips is fantastic news for us and the readers as it will bring children back to the magazine time and again to read more about the TV shows they regularly want to watch."
