ITV Global Entertainment and Open Mind Productions are ending their licensing and brand marketing relationship for Open Mind's preschool television property "Numberjacks."
ITV Global Entertainment won the "Numberjacks" deal in 2006, when it was Granada Ventures. It has overseen a licensing program that includes almost 20 licensees producing some 150 consumer product lines.
"We're very excited to have the opportunity to take the Numberjacks brand forward in the U.K.," says Nick Underwood, Open Mind's commercial director. "But, we do want to thank ITV for the work and effort put into the property by the many people who have worked on Numberjacks over the past few years. The property is now firmly established with U.K. consumers as a trusted brand with strong educational values so, with a second season on the way, this is a nice position for us to take forward."
ITV will remain closely involved with the property through ITV Home Entertainment, which has sold in excess of 150,000 "Numberjacks" DVD products in the U.K. since first launching the brand in 2007.
"Numberjacks" airs in more than 45 markets around the world, and a second season is in production and due for delivery in September. Open Mind Productions works with licensing agents in various markets, as well as handling licensing directly in Australia.
