Nelvana Debuts "In the Night Garden" DVD in Canada

The first Canadian DVD release of preschool show "In the Night Garden" will be available on April 28.

Nelvana Enterprises' Treehouse Presents label will launch the DVD which includes four episodes. Nelvana, part of Corus Entertainment, acquired Canadian home entertainment rights from BBC Worldwide Americas and plans to release more DVDs based on the series beginning this fall.

The CGI-animated "In the Night Garden," produced by Ragdoll Productions, airs in Canada on Treehouse. The series was initially a hit in the U.K., where it has sold more than 750,000 DVDs.

Meanwhile, in the U.K., BBC Worldwide has launched a cinema event for "In the Night Garden" to coincide with an upcoming DVD release.

Eighteen Picturehouse Cinemas throughout the U.K. have been selected to feature one of the episodes from the upcoming "In the Night Garden: Look at That!" DVD, which will hit retailers on March 23.
