Arla Foods has been named as the ready-to-drink coffee partner for Starbucks in Europe—marking its first entry into the category outside the U.S. and Asia.

Arla Foods is on board to produce and distribute Starbucks-branded premium ready-to-drink coffee beverages throughout Europe.

"Starbucks Global Consumer Products business allows us to extend the Starbucks experience to consumers beyond our retail stores while broadening our distribution channels globally," says Rich DePencier, vice president of Starbucks Global Consumer Products International. "The success we have had bringing ready-to-drink coffee products to consumers in North America and Asia demonstrates the global potential of the business."

Starbucks' other ready-to-drink partners include PepsiCo in the U.S., Suntory Foods in Japan and Dong Suh Foods in Korea.
