Licensed Merchandise Steps Up at Fast Food Chains

4Kid's Entertainment's Cabbage Patch Kids will soon be found in the next Burger King kids' meal promotion, beginning next month. This is the second time the two have partnered.

Girls' Burger King kids' meals will contain one of six Cabbage Patch Kids mini dolls, each with color-streaked hair and fashion decals for outfit customization. The packaging will feature Cabbage Patch Kids artwork from Original Appalachain Artworks.

The toy promotion will be available at Burger Kings in the U.S., Canada and 30 other territories.

In a similar move, Scholastic's book and TV property I Spy will be highlighted as Wendy's next kids' meal promotion in the U.S. and Canada, running Feb. 16 through March 22.

The I Spy kids' meal will each include one of five I Spy-themed toys, such as one of two CD-ROMs featuring games from I Spy Fantasy and I Spy Treasure Hunt, a two-sided jigsaw puzzle, a mini-bingo game or a search-and-find game with magnifying glass. The promotion will also include a $5-off coupon for any I Spy CD-ROM or I Spy Wii video game.
