A line of Biltmore-branded salad dressings and marinades from Vita Foods is hitting the retail food market. The Valen Group brokered the licensing deal.

The offerings include Caesar, Italian herb vinaigrette, honey mustard, orange poppy seed, soy ginger marinade and apple rosemary marinade. All will be available at grocery, gourmet and club stores, as well as in Biltmore restaurants. Biltmore plans to expand the line of its chef-inspired offerings into more categories, including entrees, appetizers, desserts, artisan breads and cheeses.

"Working with Vita Foods is a fantastic opportunity for Biltmore to extend our brand into the retail food market," says Tim Rosebrock, vice president and general manager of Biltmore's licensing division. "We're thrilled to be offering consumers high-quality items from Biltmore inspired by our chefs and the Vanderbilt family's love of food and entertaining."

Current Biltmore licensees include Amarr Garage Doors, Anderson Hardwood Floors, Artaissance, Austin, Belk, Capel Rugs, Cottage Gardens, ELK Lighting, Ellington Fans, Encore/Sarreid, Executive Kitchens, Fisher Farms, Habersham and Unique Stone.
