Sugar & Babe Debut on Fashion Handbags in Brazil

Sugar & Babe, the Japanese design brand featuring rock band cats, is the subject of a deal for fashion handbags in Brazil, to be distributed by the existing backpack licensee Dermiwil.

Sugar & Babe is owned by Crown Creative and represented by Faresak in Brazil. The new bags will hit stores in March.

It's the latest deal for the brand, which quickly became popular with Brazilian consumers after stationery manufacturer Foroni licensed a line of notebooks for their 2009 back-to-school collection. Today there are more than 20 Sugar & Babe items licensed in the stationery and accessories category in Brazil and there are others under negotiation. Items to be launched soon include stationery gift items, travel bags and a makeup bag.
