Performance Brands Signs Smart Deal for PunkyFish

Performance Brands has signed a mobile phone accessories deal for young fashion brand PunkyFish with Smart.

The deal covers universal cases, which fit iPods and small digital cameras, as well as phone jewelry. Product is set to launch in the summer.

PunkyFish debuted eight years ago and now has 14 PunkyFish stores in the U.K. The brand is sold in 350 retail branches across the U.K. and Ireland. A franchising program has also created a presence for the brand in Europe and the Middle East. 

Existing licensing deals cover jewelry, footwear and personal care. Performance Brands has also recently signed for stationery with Lannoo, and watches with Hana Time.

“PunkyFish has become an iconic fashion brand in a short space of time,” says David Ball, managing director at Performance Brands. “Licensees are understandably eager to get in on the act. There is huge scope for expansion with PunkyFish and we are very much at the start in licensing terms.”
