Specialist brand licensing consultant Performance Brands has signed new deals for designer Patrick Cox that relaunches the brand into its core category footwear and adds eyewear.

A five-year global footwear license has been signed with French Groupe Royer, which licenses footwear for children's and adult brands, and bought the Charles Jourdan footwear brand at the end of last year. Men's footwear is relaunching for the autumn/winter 2009 season and women's footwear relaunches for spring/summer 2010. The premium collections will retail at some €275 ($346) for men and €325 ($408) for women.

The five-year global Patrick Cox eyewear deal is with Blue Gem. The collection is being launched at the Mido eyewear trade show in Milan this week.

Meanwhile, Performance Brands has signed to show at Brand Licensing Europe 2009 at the end of September. Also new to this year's exhibitor roster is designer Ann Edwards who will show in the Art, Design & Image Licensing Zone of the event.

Brand Licensing Europe 2009 takes place at Olympia in London Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
