E3: Mario, Sonic Head to Tokyo for 2020 Olympics Game

Worlds collide as Mario and Sonic compete for gold in a new Olympic games collaboration.

Nintendo announced a new version of the game “Mario & Sonic” will be held at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 during its E3 2019 Nintendo Direct presentation.

The new Nintendo Switch exclusive will see the Sega and Nintendo characters facing off in various Olympic-themed challenges including boxing, soccer, swimming and gymnastics.

“Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games” follows the previous games in the Sega and Nintendo series which include “Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games” and “Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.”
